Porcelain Veneers after Orthodontics

This patient had always disliked the size and position of her teeth and was ready to transform her smile.  To enhance her smile the teeth were first repositioned with braces.  Then, porcelain veneers were fabricated to increase the length and eliminate the color variances in her teeth.  Her smile is now symmetric and well proportioned.

As a child, this patient had trauma to his teeth.  Back then, crowns with metal substructures were used.  This is why grey or dark margins are sometimes seen with dental work.  With today's technology, we are able to avoid using metal in these esthetic areas.  This patient had his right front tooth extracted.  A dental implant was placed, and the other front three teeth were veneered or crowned with porcelain material.

 

Tooth Lengthening with Veneers

This patient's teeth were discolored and he showed too much gum tissue.  The gums and bone were lifted up in order to decrease the gummy smile.  Following this, porcelain veneers were fabricated.
